Participants will learn how to use the community science app iNaturalist as well as field guides to identify the variety of living things in the park. Your observations will contribute to the current Natural Areas Inventory (NAI) and help our understanding of Hamilton’s environment. If possible, participants should download the iNaturalist app and create an account prior to the event. Alternatively, participants can bring their own cameras to take photos and upload the photos to the web application at home. A tablet will be available for use if needed. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Accessibility Note: This event takes place on forest trails with uneven ground, tree roots, rocks, and possible mud. Surfaces are not paved and may be slippery. No washrooms on site.
