Visitor Day at the SDDNS Banding Station

HNC members are invited to visit the Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) bird banding station at Sheelah Dunn Dooley Nature Sanctuary to learn about the program, bird banding, and the bird species of the sanctuary. Expect hot and sunny conditions and the potential to encounter ticks – please dress accordingly. Please also consider bringing your own camping chair, snacks and plenty of water.
Rain date will be Saturday July 4, 2026.
RSVP is required. Meeting location and parking instructions will be sent to participants only.
