About
About the Synapse Life Science Pitch Competition Showcase Following a 3-month training program, the Synapse Life Science Competition concludes in this Pitch Showcase event, where the life science companies will pitch and compete for cash and in-kind contributions. What is the Synapse Life Science Competition? Innovation Factory’s Synapse Competition is Ontario’s premier life science pitch competition. Designed to help life science innovators move their products and services out of the lab and into the market, the competition pairs innovators with business and entrepreneurship students, and provides them the training, mentorship, and resources to be successful. The competition is separated into four phases. The competition teams up life science innovators with business, science, and entrepreneurship students from university or college. Together, the teams produce business and commercialization plans, and a pitch for their ventures. Teams have the chance to win cash and in-kind resources at the final showcase! What to expect: Come meet the 15 finalists, and hear the top 5 pitch their ideas on stage for the chance to win cash and in-kind resources. Learn about emerging life science companies, network with industry thought leaders, and support the Region’s growing life sciences ecosystem! Refreshments and a cash bar will be available.
