About

Embark on a historical adventure at the Stoney Creek Cemetery, originally the site of a Methodist Episcopal Chapel and the first point of contact between British and American soldiers during the 1813 Battle of Stoney Creek. Join Battlefield House Museum and Cemetery Chronicles Tours to explore this rich history during the Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek weekend. Immerse yourself in this landscape that is steeped in the stories of local families including Green, Van Wagner, Gage, Corman, Jones, Smith, and Lee, in this entertaining and informative walking tour!

Free admission.

Participants are asked to meet their tour guide at the laneway entrance of the Cemetery, located at 2680 King S. East, Hamilton, just a short walk across Centennial Pkwy from Battlefield Park. There is no parking available on-site or at Battlefield Park due to the Re-enactment event.

Please visit hamiltoncivicmuseums.ca/Reenactment (coming soon!) for parking information during the Re-enactment.
