Part of our Riverboat Revisited series, highlighting iconic performers from the historic Riverboat Coffee House in Toronto.
The Good Brothers —comprising twin brothers Bruce and Brian Good alongside younger brother Larry —are a legendary Canadian country, folk, and blue grass group celebrating over 50 years of performing together.
As a trio, they played their historic first show at the legendary Toronto club, The Riverboat, on May 14, 1974. Combining sibling harmonies with fiery banjo and autoharp, they became a massive live draw, regularly packing venues like the El Mocambo.
Over their distinguished career, the band won eight consecutive JUNO Awards for Best Country Group and earned inductions into both the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and the North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame. They frequently toured North America and Europe with their mentor, Gordon Lightfoot, and recently released the 2025 tribute single “ Now That You’re Gone .”
The Good Brothers are back on the road again this year, with more new music as their 50+ Years celebrations continue.
