RESCHEDULED – Hawk Watch @ Beamer Park
• 28 Quarry Road
About
Join Matt Mills for an exciting day of raptor watching at Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Grimsby. Late March is peak migration for Red-tailed Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk, and Turkey Vulture. We will watch the skies for rarer migrants like Rough-legged Hawk, Bald Eagle, and Golden Eagle. Spring days at Beamer also hold potential for waves of waterfowl and songbird migrants.
This is a drop-in event running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Bring your binoculars, sunscreen, water, snacks, and dress in warm layers, as the microclimate may shift quickly depending on the breeze. Bathrooms are available on site, and Grimsby (just five minutes away by car) offers additional amenities if needed. Come for an hour or stay all day.
