Join us for an evening of music and astronomy as we take you on a tour of the planets in our Solar System set to the music of ‘The Planets’ by Gustav Holst. Each of the seven movements in Holst’s orchestral suite represents the attributes of the Roman god or goddess the planet is named after. In listening order are Mars, the Bringer of War; Venus, the Bringer of Peace; Mercury, the Winged Messenger; Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity; Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age; Uranus, the Magician; and Neptune, the Mystic.
All ticket sales are final. Please use our Directions page for information on parking and getting to the planetarium.
Designed for adult and older teen audiences. Due to the immersive presentation style and pacing of the presentation, this show is not recommended for children, who may have difficulty remaining still and quiet. (It does not contain explicit language or graphic content.) If you are interested in a show designed for a younger audience, please consider our Introductory Astronomy for Kids options (typically on the first Wednesday or the third Saturday of each month) or general shows.
