• 1105 Lower Lions Club Rd, Hamilton, ON L9H 5E3, Hamilton Ontario, Canada
About
Join invasive species staff from Nature at McMaster on a walk through McMaster Forest to discuss new and emerging invasive species threats. We’ll be looking out for some forest pest and pathogens that have arrived in Hamilton over the past few years, including Hemlock Woolly Adelgid and Beech Leaf Disease, as well as going over other common species of invasive plants and insects you can find locally. This walk will focus on how to identify different species, how to report your findings while out in nature, and what else you can do to support the environment.
This outing will take place at McMaster Forest which has uneven terrain, hills and muddy trails. Walking will be done at a moderate pace.
Meet at the gravel parking lot located at 1105 Lower Lions Club Road https://maps.app.goo.gl/82SqKDfVRub8aCPS6
