Artful Moments : Community Connections
An arts-based program for people with memory changes or dementia, delivered in Italian.
Creative conversations and hands-on activities inspired by the Art Gallery of Hamilton, designed to build social connection and wellbeing.
Come on your own or with a family member or friend. No previous art experience needed.
Programs will be delivered in Italian, with English support as needed.
Artful Moments was inspired by a simple act of looking at and discussing art with people living with dementia. In that moment, we saw a shift of focus to shared experiences, and connection. In Artful Moments: Community Connections, we focus on participants’ preferred language to guide conversations and hands-on activities, with English support as needed.
Participants are encouraged to include a friend or family-member to share in the program, where everyone shares this experience together. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in discussions and hands-on activities along side participants. This program is for both of you.
