You've promised to meet your closest friends at Whitechapel Station for afternoon tea — and you're running late.London is buzzing with rumours.There have been terrible happenings in these streets, and fear has taken hold of the city.A figure emerges from the fog.A gentleman. Smartly dressed. A top hat pulled low.Your heart races...But he turns, climbs into a waiting carriage and disappears into the mist.You quicken your pace until finally — Whitechapel Station.Your friends are waiting.The Train is warm.The conversation is lively.And a freshly brewed pot of tea is ready for you. 🫖Welcome to LONDON FOG — Afternoon Tea on the Train.Chef Lulu is taking us back to Victorian England with a menu inspired by the foods, flavours and traditions of the late 1800s:🥪 A fine assortment of tea sandwiches 🥧 Traditional Victorian-inspired sweet & savoury pastries 🫖 Freshly baked scones with house-made preserves & cream 🍮 A traditional dessert cup ☕ And, of course, plenty of teaSettle into our warm and cozy vintage Train, surrounded by the atmosphere of another time.And for those feeling particularly adventurous...Perhaps we can tempt you with a mysterious cocktail from the shadows. 🌫️🍸While we're borrowing the atmosphere and history of Victorian Whitechapel, we also want to remember that behind its infamous story were real women whose lives ended tragically.Mary Ann Nichols. Annie Chapman. Elizabeth Stride. Catherine Eddowes.
