In this wild comedy from celebrated Canadian author Mona Awad (writer of the bestselling novels Bunny and We Love You, Bunny), magical realism takes centre stage. Miranda Fitch is destined for the spotlight until a stage accident rewrites her script and leaves her living with chronic pain. Now she teaches Shakespeare in a body that refuses direction, to students who would rather stage Macbeth than her beloved All’s Well That Ends Well. Determined to prove the so-called “problem play,” and herself, deserve a second chance, Miranda digs in.
When three mysterious strangers offer her relief from her suffering, she is pulled into a surreal and unsettling journey that promises restoration.
In this razor-sharp comedy about ambition, pain, power, and the cost of a cure, happy endings come with wicked fine print.
