Albion Ascent Trail Race 2026

Albion Ascent is a chip-timed urban trail race through King's Forest, the Red Hill Valley and the Bruce Trail, with 5K, 10K and 21K distances plus 1K and 3K kids races. The 3K starts at 8:15 a.m., the 1K at 8:35 a.m., the 21K at 9:00 a.m., the 10K at 9:15 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30 a.m. The cutoff for every distance is 2:00 p.m.

The routes combine paved paths, dirt trails, hill climbs and technical trail sections, with the longer distances passing Hamilton waterfalls. Participants should bring a reusable bottle or cup because aid stations do not supply cups. Registration ranges from $15 to $90 by distance. Parking is available at Greenhill Bowl Park and Rosedale Park, and the start line is accessible by transit from the Greenhill/Cochrane stop.
