Through an eerie combination of story and live music set in an otherworldly place, a weathered cowboy lays bare his haunted past, straining against an encroaching hope in the darkness. Written, directed, and performed by the Gatineau-based Tony Martins, OATS is an eerily ambient fusion of “western rock” music and tall cowboy tales. Acclaimed Hamilton-based guitarist Andrew Aldridge joins Martins on stage to help create a lush, dark, and atmospheric soundscape from two electric guitars in a musical conversation.
