The 29th Annual Soaring Spirit Festival & Pow Wow brings a free weekend of Indigenous celebration, teaching, ceremony, music, dance, art, food, and community gathering to Battlefield House Museum & Park. Friday begins with a 6 a.m. Sunrise Ceremony, Fire Teachings at 11 a.m., a Water Ceremony at noon, the Native Arts, Craft, Trade & Food Show, agency displays, speakers, exhibits, Indigenous karaoke auditions, and live entertainment. Saturday and Sunday include Sunrise Ceremony at 6 a.m., vendors and pow wow registration from 10 a.m., Grand Entry at noon, drumming, singing, dance, art, and shared community celebration for National Indigenous Peoples Day.
