Join us for a Love Your Lakes cleanup at Pier 4 Park in Hamilton and help us finish the season strong!
August is the final month of Love Your Lakes 2026, A Greener Future’s community cleanup program along Lake Ontario and connected waterways. We’re working toward a big goal: 700,000 pieces of litter removed from parks, shorelines, and communities across the region. Every cleanup brings us closer, and every volunteer makes a real difference.
At this event, volunteers will remove litter from the shoreline and surrounding area while helping A Greener Future collect important data about what is ending up in the environment. This data helps us better understand litter trends and work toward long-term solutions.
No experience is needed. Our team will provide supplies, a quick orientation, and support throughout the cleanup. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring water.
High school students can earn community service hours.
