Frogs & Woodcock Walk at Beverly Swamp CA

Beverly Swamp Conservation Area

• 1535 Safari Road, Hamilton Ontario

About

Join hike leader Rob Porter as we explore the Beverly Swamp Conservation Area in Flamborough. If conditions are right, we should have both amphibians and birds to see and hear: chorus frogs, wood frogs, American Woodcock, and more! The hike will begin at 6:30 pm to listen to the frogs, and perhaps observed migrating and early breeding bird species. As sunset approaches, we will return to the parking area around 8 pm to watch for American Woodcock displays. The end time is approximate and will depend on weather and viewing conditions.

Terrain is mostly flat with a few slight inclines. Good hiking footwear is recommended, as muddy conditions may be present. Hike distance will be approximately 2 km in total.
