About

Explore Dundurn Castle, a stunning Italianate villa built in the 1830s on Burlington Heights, once home to Sir Allan Napier MacNab, a prominent railway magnate and Premier of the United Canadas and his family. Over the years, the castle has served as a family home, a school for the deaf, and a museum, before becoming the historic house museum it is today. During Doors Open Hamilton, enjoy a free, self-guided tour of the Castle and its Historic Kitchen Garden. Don’t miss a stop at the Hamilton Museum Shop, featuring handmade and local one-of-a-kind merch.

Free admission.
