This series workshop covers the basics of improv comedy in the style of Staircase Improv. Learn our tried and true acronyms LACE, STEPS and Triangle to create a foundation in improv comedy that will serve you well in improv and beyond. Staircase Improv workshops are taught in a safe and supportive environment where everyone learns by laughing at their own pace. This is our fundamental series workshop that is appropriate for folks with no improv experience.

Your teacher is Lauren Charman. Lauren is a seasoned improviser and teacher. She has performed and taught from Hamilton to Chicago and works as an anthropologist that studies improv comedy. Everyone loves Lauren’s caring, supportive and very knowledgeable teaching style.
