Based on the award-winning novel by Kit Pearson, Awake and Dreaming follows Theo, a child living in poverty with her young, irresponsible mother Rae in Vancouver. When Theo meets the seemingly perfect Kaldor family on the ferry and desperately wishes she could be part of them. The magic that follows teaches her about family, stories, and the beautiful imperfections of life.
