Date: March 18 – March 21 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Location: York Blvd. Event Space, Hamilton Farmers’ Market About the Event The March Break Cardboard Construction Challenge is back for 2026, and it’s bigger and better than ever! After last year’s fun-filled week of creativity, Hamilton Farmers’ Market is once again transforming our event space into a playground for imagination. This free, drop-in style event invites kids, families, and young creators to take part in a hands-on building experience that celebrates ingenuity, community, and a love of design. Over the course of the week, we’ll be collecting our best cardboard pieces and repurposing them into something truly special: a cardboard version of the Market itself. Participants are encouraged to recreate their favorite stalls or dream up entirely new Market concepts. Whether it’s a colourful produce stall, a whimsical artisan booth, or a futuristic Market idea, the only limit is imagination. Guided by Local Artist Annie Webber Local artist and facilitator Annie Webber will be on hand throughout the event to guide participants, offer tips, and help turn creative ideas into tangible cardboard creations. Her hands-on approach makes it easy for kids and adults alike to experiment with design, construction, and collaboration. With Annie’s guidance, even the most ambitious ideas can take shape. All Supplies Provided No need to worry about materials—Hamilton Farmers’ Market has everything covered. From cardboard and scissors to tape and markers, all supplies are provided on-site. Participants can focus entirely on creating, imagining, and building, making this a stress-free, engaging activity for the whole family.
